Carl In The Middle

APPROPRIATELY named for the festive season, Carl Berry will be the man in the middle when the Pilgrims host Dagenham & Redbridge this Saturday at Home Park.

Berry has officiated 16 games so far this season, issuing 63 yellow cards, five reds, and has pointed to the penalty spot on five occasions.

The Surrey-born ref last overlooked a game featuring Argyle earlier on this season, where the Pilgrims overcame Swindon Town in the Capital One Cup. That game saw Berry show Tyler Harvey a yellow card, and he also awarded the visitors a penalty after a mistimed Kelvin Mellor challenge.

Argyle’s record with Berry currently stands at two wins, one loss; we lost his first game in charge of us, 1-0 at Rotherham in March 2012, but subsequently beat Cheltenham at home last season, then prevailed in the aforementioned Swindon game.

Here's to make it three wins in a row on Saturday.
