THE Argyle Community Trust are staging their ever popular Community Youth Cup this spring......offering children aged 7-10 the chance to play on the same pitch graced by their favourite stars.
The tournament, which takes place on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, is held at Argyle’s Home Park stadium and the first-team training area at Harper's Park. Every team that enters is guaranteed to play at least once on the main pitch at Home Park.
The rules are six-a-side with no more than 12 players per club. Each team plays a minimum of four matches, so it gives a lot of children the chance to get involved, as well as the opportunity of playing on the same surfaces as their Argyle favourites.
The entrance fee for the tournament is £60, and this one-off payment covers admission to the ground for all players, coaches and parents. There is also a Valentine’s earlybird option available, with signing-up fees cut to £35 if you enrol by Friday, February 14.
There is a limit of 24 teams for each of the four age-groups, so book now to avoid disappointment and to give your future footballers a memorable day out.
Any club who would like to take part in the tournament are requested to complete an application form and return it to the Community Trust offices at Home Park by Friday, March 28. The address is: Argyle Community Trust, Plymouth Argyle, Home Park, Plymouth, PL2 3DQ.
