Mark In The Middle

MARK Brown will be the man in the middle for Argyle’s Sky Bet League 2 game this weekend, where the Pilgrims travel up to Mansfield Town.

This season, the Yorkshire-born ref has officiated 14 games, issuing 22 yellow cards, three reds, and has awarded four penalties.

The last game Mark refereed was York City’s 1-1 draw at home to AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup first round. In that game, Mark showed the yellow card on two occasions.

Argyle’s record with Mark as the first official is a miserable one. The Pilgrims have failed to win a single game with Mark taking charge of proceedings; Three played, three losses.

Mark's last game in charge of us was the 3-0 away defeat to Rochdale last season. In that game, Mark sent off former Pilgrim Andres Gurrieri.

Two seasons prior to that, Mark was in charge of our home game with Gillingham in which he sent of the Gills' Joe Martin in the first half. Argyle still went on to lose the game 1-0.

Let us hope Argyle’s record with Mark does not ruin the Pilgrims stag night.
