Nomination Domination

ARGYLE have received a double piece of recognition for a sterling month of October.

John Sheridan has been nominated as a candidate for the Manager of the Month award from league sponsors Sky Bet, while defender Carl McHugh is on the shortlist for the Player of the Month award.

The Pilgrims were unbeaten throughout the month, winning five and drawing one of their fixtures. In five Sky Bet League 2 fixtures, they did not conceded a single goal.

John is nominated alongside Justin Edinburgh of Newport County, Micky Mellon of Shrewsbury Town, and Luton Town manager John Still.

Carl, representing the best defensive record in the country, is the only defender in the playing quartet, which also comprises Cambridge striker Kwesi Appiah, Luton front man Mark Cullen and Carlisle midfielder Brad Potts.

ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7 2014.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
