Best Foot Forward

PLANS are continuing to commemorate one of Plymouth's best-known figures in what would have been his 100th year.

Former Labour party leader - not mention former Argyle director and superfan - Michael Foot passed away in 2010 aged 96, and is set to be recognised with a memorial bench in Freedom Fields.

However, the fund is still a little short as explained by The Herald, here.

A one-off fascimile painting of Mr Foot, painted by Robert Lenkiewicz and currently hanging in the House of Commons, is for sale to raise money for the fund.

Those wishing to donate or inquire about purchasing the facsimile portrait should visit michaelfoot.org or call 01752 262 243.

Comedian and actor Alan Davies, who watched our 1-0 win over Carlisle on Saturday prior to performed at Plymouth Pavillions, was excited to have his picture taken in the Argyle boardroom with Michael's commemorative shirt given  to him for 90th birthday.
