FOLLOWING Tuesday's 0-0 draw with AFC Wimbledon, Argyle boast the best defensive record in the football league.

It been a massive SEVEN HOURS and 17 MINUTES since an opposing player hit the back of Luke McCormick’s net – a 13th-minute strike by Kal Naismith in the 1-0 defeat to Accrington Stanley on September 27.

Argyle have only conceded eight goals in 14 league games this season; better than all teams in the Championship, League 1 and 2.

Only Southampton (5) have a better goals against record this campaign in the top five leagues of English Football - and they have played six fewer games!

McCormick was in goal for Argyle’s record number of minutes without conceding a goal (642) back in the 2003-04 season.

The Pilgrims, whose impressive defensive displays have led to eight clean sheets this campaign, will be looking to continue this enviable run of meanness against Cheltenham Town at Home Park on Saturday.
