Andy In The Middle

EXPERIENCED whistler Andy D'Urso will be the referee when Argyle meet Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Monday.

Mr D'Urso took charge of his first Football League match in 1997, and spent many years officiating in the Premier League.

He has refereed Argyle 10 times over the years, and shown 13 yellow cards to Pilgrims in that time. To give an idea of Andy's longevity in refereeing, the 13 men cautioned by him have been: Taribo West, Michael Evans, Scott Taylor, Lee Martin, Luke Summerfield, Mat Kouo-Doumbe, Rory Fallon, Carl Fletcher, Kari Arnason, Paul Wotton, Juvhel Tsoumou, Alex MacDonald and Warren Feeney.

His last two games in charge of Argyle have both been in League 2: a 1-0 win at home to Bradford, and a 2-2 draw at Home Park against Gillingham.

This season, Andy has refereed 31 games, issuing 93 yellow cards - an average of exactly three a game - and has shown five red cards.

Of the 13 games Andy has officiated in 2015, only two have ended in home wins. Eight have gone to the away side.
