Darren in the Middle

DARREN Sheldrake will be Argyle's referee when the Pilgrims take on Burton Albion at Home Park on Friday.

In fact, it was only at the end of February when Darren was last scheduled to be here, as he was due to take charge of our 2-0 home defeat against Bury. Instead, he was replaced late on by Fred Graham. 

In the games Darren has officiated this season - 25 in total - he has shown 76 yellow cards and shown 9 reds. Remarkably, eight of these were in his first 13 games of the season, and the ninth came in his last outing, as he refereed a busy 2-2 draw between Gillingham and Colchester. 

Darren will be assisted on Friday by Carl Fitch and Andrew Turner.
