Argyle v Portsmouth - Pilgrim Punting

IT has been 27 years since Argyle won their opening two league fixture...

...but perhaps their number 27 could be a factor it making it two wins two so far in this Sky Bet League 2 campaign.

Manager Derek Adams has made no secret of his attacking intent this season, and with Portsmouth boasting Matt Tubbs - 2015-16's Sky Bet League 2 leading goalscorer - in their line up, perhaps the 4/1 on Argyle to win and both teams to score is appealing value. 

You can still bet on matters that affect the whole season, and if you think today's game is featuring two of the leading candidates for promotion, you could go for the dual forecast of Argyle and Portsmouth to finish in the top two.
