Oliver in Charge

THE man that officiates Tuesday’s Sky Bet League 2 home match between Argyle and Carlisle United is West Midlands referee Oliver Langford.

The match will be his third this season; his previous two games being Wycombe Wanderers' 3-0 win over York City, in which he showed four yellow cards, and Yeovil Town’s 3-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers in the Capital One Cup, when he displayed only one yellow.

Langford oversaw two Argyle matches last season: Dagenham and Redbridge’s 2-0 victory over the Pilgrims in March, and our 1-1 draw with Morecambe in January. In the Dagenham game, Langford did not reach into his pocket. However, in the match against Morecambe, three yellow cards were shown, one towards our own Carl McHugh.
