Scouting For Girls

FOLLOWING the success of Plymouth Argyle’s Premier League Girls Football Programme and the brand new Plymouth Argyle Girls Advanced Development Centre last year...

...Argyle Community Trust are delighted to announce the Centre will be back for its second year.

The Centre, which falls under the Argyle Community Trust, is currently open to both under-14 and under-16 age groups, running alongside the Devon FA Centre of Excellence.

We are very proud to have forged close links with the Plymouth Argyle Ladies first team, who play in the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division. The idea of the Advanced Development Centre is for talented young footballers to progress through the age groups and eventually into the Ladies’ squad.

The Advanced Development Centre is staged on a weekly basis, starting from Wednesday, August 26 until the end of the football season in May each year. Sessions are held at Ivybridge Community College on the 3G every Wednesday night 6.30pm-8.30pm.

We arrange fixtures during half-term breaks against other Premier League and Football League Clubs, alongside other female-represented teams in the local area.

Argyle Community Trust are holding a trial night for the Advanced Development Centre at Ivybridge Community College on Wednesday, August 26 between 6:30-8:30pm, with all females aged 12-16 free to come and trial for a place in the Development Centre for the second year of its delivery. The night will consist of small-sided games, so the coaches can gauge ability levels of all potential players.
