Tareiq a Treat

ARGYLE are set to sign Charlton Athletic teenager Tareiq Holmes-Dennis.

The 19-year-old England youth international will join the Pilgrims on a youth loan when the loan transfer window reopens next Tuesday, February 10.

Tareiq, who will wear the number 30 shirt while he is a Pilgrim, will remain at Home Park until the end of the Sky Bet League 2 season on May 2.

He has already played at the Theatre of Greens this season, just after Christmas, while on loan at Oxford United.

He was left-back for the Us then, but can also play further upfield, either as a winger or behind the main striker.

Argyle manager John Sheridan’s move for Tareiq comes swiftly on the heels of loan target Andy Kellett’s late surprise transfer deadline day move from Bolton Wanderers to Manchester United.

Tareiq graduated from the Valley’s Academy and signed his first professional contract with the Addicks in 2013.

He was loaned by Charlton to Oxford in October last year and played 17 times for Argyle League 2 rivals.
