ARGYLE are delighted to announce that their official match-day programme, the Pilgrim...

...has been named Sky Bet League 2 ‘Best Programme of the Season’ for 2014-15 by trade magazine Programme Monthly & Football Collectable.

Announcing the award on their website, judges from Programme Monthly & Football Collectable – “the world’s greatest football programme magazine” – praised the Pilgrim for its "innovation and imagination" in many of its features, as well as its “mix of articles” and “wonderful presentation”.

Popular programme features including Mike Curno’s All Roads Lead to Home Park, Nigel Harradence’s Come on You Greens! and Charlie Rose’s A Quick Word With… were all commended, while Argyle’s Performance Manager John Harbin’s One More Round was also given an honourable mention.

However, the double-page Pass Back spread, which features various memorabilia items from Argyle’s colourful past, was singled out by Programme Monthly as the standout article.

This success follows on from Argyle claiming their very first title of the season in December – Sky Bet League 2’s top social media team of 2014.

The Pilgrims topped the League 2 table in the Sport Social Media Index 2014, climbing three places from the previous year. Portsmouth, who boast nearly double Argyle’s number of Twitter followers, finished sixth, while Exeter fell from ninth to 16th.

The index grades 148 British professional football, rugby and cricket teams according to social media performance by their official club channels.
