If they were a nursery rhyme they would be... The Grand Old Duke Of York. In the 1960-61 season,  Northampton were promoted from Division Four, kick-starting a climb up the divisions. They eventually reached Division One in 1965-66. They then started their descend down the divisions, arriving back in Division Four in 1969-70. Just like The Grand Old Duke Of York, Northampton have been quiet for a long time now, this season their seventh in Sky Bet League 2.
