The Right Staff

With the start of pre-season training scheduled for July 6, the lads will be preparing to be put through their paces by Derek, assistant manager Craig Brewster and Argyle stalwart Paul Wotton. 

 

“We’ve got Craig and we’ve got Paul at first-team coach,” said Derek. “I think the three of us will work together and be quite hands-on on the training field.

 

“We’ll all work to make the football club better, and make the players better as well.”

 

Craig joins the club having not only worked under Adams at Ross County, but also taking caretaker charge of Crawley Town twice – an experience that bodes well for himself and the club, in the eyes of the manager.

 

“I think it’s always valuable, the more people you have with experience in certain situations,” said Derek. 

 

“I think that when you take people in and you have people on your coaching staff, everybody has different ways of working, and we’ll hit the ground running.”
