Cheltenham v Argyle - Reasons to be Cheerful

HADEN Tye takes his weekly look at some reasons why we should be positive going in to another huge Saturday fixture...

Unbeaten in five
The last five meetings between Argyle and the Robins have resulted in three league wins for Argyle, a Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory on penalties and a 1-1 draw at Home Park last year. Argyle cruised to a 3-0 victory against Cheltenham at Home Park earlier this term, and the double is a very realistic possibility.

Goals, goals, goals
Both Reuben Reid and Lewis Alessandra have scored twice against Cheltenham for Argyle, and they will be hoping to add to their tally against the Robins. Reid is Argyle's top-scorer this season with 17 goals, and Allesandra is also in double figures with a dozen so far for Argyle this season.

Not at the races
Cheltenham have only won one of their last 14 matches, and sit one space off the bottom of the Sky Bet Football League 2. They are in real trouble of relegation, and last week's 2-1 loss to Exeter City has not helped their case. Let's hope that Argyle can add to their troubles at the Abbey Business Stadium and in turn boost the Pilgrims play-off push.
