Jones the Loan

ARGYLE have agreed to sign Everton youngster Gethin Jones on loan until the end of the season.

Gethin, 19, is about to join up with the Wales under-21 squad before their match against Bulgaria at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday. He will then join his new Argyle team-mates ahead of our fixture against Burton Albion. He will wear the number 20 shirt while a Pilgrim. 

Gethin has made one appearance for the under-21 side, playing 90 minutes in Wales' 2-2 draw in Finland in September. He is a regular members of Everton's under-21 squad, and made his first-team debut as a substitute when the Toffees played Russian side FC Krasnodar in the Europa League in December. 

A co-captain of an Everton side that won the Under-18 Premier League title last season, Jones signed a one-year professional contract in the summer. He first joined Everton as a 12-year-old, and has developed from a midfielder into a right-back, though can play a variety of positions.
