James in Charge

JAMES Linington will take charge of Argyle's Johnstone's Paint Area Quarter-final against Millwall on Tuesday night...

...and it will not be his first taste of cup action at Home Park.

James' most recent visit to the Theatre of Greens came last season, almost exactly a year ago, on November 8, when Argyle beat AFC Fylde 2-0 in the FA Cup first round. His JPT experience with us is less palatable for the Green Army - James was the referee when Exeter prevailed 2-1 at Home Park, spookily enough on November 9, 2010.

The Fylde fixture was one of two visits James made to Home Park last season, the other being a Sky Bet League 2 game against Hartlepool. Both games ended 2-0 to Argyle, and neither match saw a single card being issued.

So far this season, in 15 games, Linington has issued 42 cautions and three red cards - two of which came in one game, when Bristol Rovers met Oxford United.
