We Need Your Memories

THIS month saw the 5,000th Plymouth Argyle first-team match.

To mark the historic milestone – our home 2-0 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory over Exeter City – the club published a special edition of the Pilgrim.

The publication – which is still available from the Argyle Superstore at Home Park – featured many of the players, managers and games that have shaped our history; the highs and very highs; lows and even lowers; the history and the fabric of our great club.

That has just merely whetted our appetite for even more memories of the life and times of Plymouth Argyle.

So we thought, why not mark the occasion by compiling a book comprising the first-hand recollections of the Green Army of the triumphs and tribulations down the years?

We would like you to let us know your special memory of following the Pilgrims.

It could be a match or a moment; an era or an event; a person or place – anything at all Argyle.

Whether you are young or old, a long-time supporter, or just beginning to catch the Argyle bug –whatever stands out to you the most, we want to know about it.

Let us know, in no more than 300 words, please – and, if we receive enough, we will pull them altogether into one publication that we can keep and treasure forever.

Send your contribution to: 5,000 Memories, Plymouth Argyle FC, Home Park, Plymouth PL12 6DF, or email it to editors18@hotmail.co.uk, putting ‘5,000 Memories’ in the subject line.

Make sure to include: your name; the date of your memory; venue, if applicable; and important figures. Also feel free to send any additional media that may help further bring your story to life, but please send only items that you have multiple copies of, or are willing to not have returned.
