DEREK Adams has marked the end of a successful first active month as Argyle boss with a nomination for Sky Bet League 2 manager of the month.
After four wins from five in the league during the month, Argyle sit second in the table on 12 points, behind only Leyton Orient, who have won all five matches since being relegated last season.
Orient manager Ian Hendon is also nominated after taking over in the summer, along with Gareth Ainsworth of third place Wycombe Wanderers, and Portsmouth boss Paul Cook, who has steered Pompey to fourth.
The winner will be announced on Friday, September 4. The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley; Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon; and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
The four players nominated for player of the month are Jabo Ibehre (Carlisle United), Dean Cox (Leyton Orient), Aaron Pierre (Wycombe Wanderers) and Barry Corr (Cambridge).
