They're the Type of Guys...

ARGYLE will come up against a tough Wycombe Wanderers side on Saturday...

...and three Chairboys who will know more about the Green Army than most are Paul Hayes, Jason Banton and Gozie Ugwu.

Hayes, now a Wycombe Wanderers front man, was formerly a Green when he was loaned to Argyle from Brentford in October 2013. The striker failed to find the back of the net during his spell at Home Park and subsequently returned to Griffin Park when manager John Sheridan decided against extending his loan.

Hayes has since gone on to score goals against his old club in three games for the Chairboys.

Two more players who will be coming up against their old team are Jason Banton and Gozie Ugwu.

Jason made a name for himself when he played at Home Park, and scored six times, in a 14-game loan from Crystal Palace at the end of the 2012-2013 season. form which saw him win the League 2 Player of the Month award for March.

Banton secured a permanent deal with Argyle in January 2014 and turned in impressive displays against Wycombe in last season's play-offs before signing for the Chairboys this summer after being released by Argyle.

Pilgrims' manager Derek Adams said: "He's a player that's got very good technical ability and I'm sure the players who were here last season know all about him."

After leaving Yeovil Town in the summer of 2015, Gozie was a free agent until Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth added the player to his strike force this week after he impressed in training sessions.

"Gozie is an exciting striker who I've had my eye on for some time," said Ainsworth. "I'm delighted to have him on board."

The former Reading trainee had an injury-hit six-game spell with the Greens in 2013 before the Royals recalled him from his loan early after just two starts for the Pilgrims.
