Second Round Third Time

ARGYLE will not change their style of play...

...despite being aware of Newport County’s strong and weak points, says Pilgrims’ defender Oscar Threlkeld.

Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup second-round tie between the two sides at Home Park will be the third time they have met already this season.

Argyle were victorious both times – 4-1 in the Checkatrade Trophy in August, and 3-1 at Rodney Parade in a Sky Bet League Two fixture in October.

“We have played each other so many times now,” said Oscar. “We know their strengths and weaknesses and they know ours but we’re not going to change how we play,” said Oscar.

“We’re going to carry on training to do what we need to do and hopefully it will show on Saturday.”
