Gavin in Charge

GAVIN Ward is the referee when Argyle meet Barnet at The Hive on Tuesday night.

Gavin's last time in the middle during an Argyle match was when we beat Tranmere Rovers 3-2 at the very end of last season. That day he cautioned four players, including Argyle's Anthony O'Connor, and gave us a penalty, which Reuben Reid converted.

The two previous Argyle matches that Gavin has presided over are the 2-0 win at Southampton in February 2008, in which a quickfire burst of goals from Peter Halmosi and Jim Paterson won the game for Argyle, and a 1-1 draw at Wycombe in October 2012, where a Guy Madjo goal gave the Pilgrims a point.

This season, Gavin has refereed 25 games, showing 92 yellow cards and sending off two players - curiously, both have been called Jordan. (Fear not, for our man Forster spells his name with an 'o'...)
