Reasons to be Cheerful - Accrington v Argyle

OUR weekly look at why we should be optimistic for our next game begins a little over four years ago...

Been There Be-four
Argyle had a very successful trip to Lancashire on February 18, 2012, winning 4-0 away at Accrington. Alex MacDonald scored twice for the Pilgrims, with Darren Purse and Luke Daley also getting their names on the scoresheet.

1-0 to the Ar-gy-le
Argyle have won their last two fixtures against Accrington, with both games finishing 1-0 to the Pilgrims. Both games were at Home Park: Lewis Alessandra was the Argyle match winner last season, and Reuben Reid, who has scored against Stanley on two separate occasions, won the game for Argyle last October.

The Famous Five
On the date of Saturday's fixture, it will be 11 years to the day since Argyle thumped Brighton and Hove Albion 5-1 in the Championship. Current Argyle first team coach Paul Wotton scored twice for the Pilgrims, with Nick Chadwick, David Norris and Scott Taylor also among the scorers.
