Peninsula Report - Argyle 1 St Blazey 0

ARGYLE extended their lead at the top of the Premier Division following a narrow victory against a resilient St Blazey outfit.

The visitors have not secured a point since the opening day of the season and they attempted to settle a torrid campaign with the appointment of Lee Britchford as manager.

The arrival of the former Plymouth Marjon boss had an immediate galvanising effect on St Blazey, who were organised and rugged in their defending, while always a threat on the break.

In the end, Alex Battle ruined the perfect start for Britchford when he scored the only goal on 59 minutes but hope for the future at St Blazey, while the Pilgrims keep marching forward.
