Peninsula Report - Argyle 3 Elburton 1

ARGYLE progressed to a home clash with Stoke Gabriel after a fairly routine win over Elburton Villa on Friday night.

Ben Steer broke the deadlock with a wonderful curling effort into the top corner from the edge of the box, as the Pilgrims controlled the first-half with impressively patient passing.

Luke Jephcott turned that dominance into a 2-0 lead and the win was sealed by another super strike, as Billy Craske added a third for the Pilgrims, who cruised through the second period.

The final twist in an entertaining game was a delightful consolation, scored by Scott Wickens from 25 yards.
