Officially Charles

CHARLES Breakspear will be the referee when Argyle meet Leyton Orient on Tuesday night.

Charles was in charge of us on three occasions last season, presiding over the win against Yeovil Town in Sky Bet League Two, the defeat at home to Carlisle in the Emirates FA Cup, and the 3-2 comeback win at Wimbledon, in what is now known as the Checkatrade trophy.

In the seven games Charles has officiated when Argyle have been playing, he has showed just 16 yellow cards. He showed one straight red - to Neal Trotman - when the Pilgrims were unceremoniously beaten 4-0 at home to York City in February 2014. There has been one penalty given in those games - a spot kick won and converted by Reuben Reid at Burton Albion.

This season, Breakspear has taken nine games, showing a hefty 49 yellow cards, including ten in his last game, when Swindon met Bury. He has shown two red cards, both for second bookable offences.
