Officially Nick

NICK Kinseley will the referee on Saturday when Argyle meet Cheltenham Town at Home Park.

Kinseley is in his second season of officiating in the EFL, following many years of experience at National League level.

Last season, Nick was the referee for our matches on two occasions. He turned out to be a bit of a lucky mascot, as the Pilgrims won both games.

The first was at Sixfields, where Argyle beat eventual champions Northampton Town 2-0 early in the season. Kinseley showed the yellow card on four occasions that day, including twice to Cobblers defender Josh Lelan, who went on to have a trial at Argyle this pre-season.

Later in the season, Nick made his first visit to Home Park, to take charge of Argyle's win against Accrington Stanley, in which Reuben Reid's stunning volley was the difference between the sides. Curiously, the 50/50 half-time guest that day was Dave Smith - and the Ciderman makes a welcome return to Home Park this Saturday.

Nick has refereed four games so far this season. He has shown 15 yellow cards and sent off one player so far. The recipient of the red card? Andre Blackman, for Crawley, on the opening day of the season.
