Peninsula Report - Argyle 7 Camelford 1

ARGYLE turned on the style in a Friday night destruction of Camelford at Coach Road...

...and provided a gentle reminder to the top two in Peninsula football that any dip in form could see the Pilgrims sneak to title glory.

Both sides toiled on a heavy pitch in the early stages but Argyle began to move through the gears with a header from Luke Jepchott and then Dan Rooney doubled the lead with a fizzing low effort on the half-hour.

Jephcott was enjoying a fine game and he effectively sealed the three points when he scored again before half-time, although the visitors did get some reward via a tidy finish from Josh Penrose.

The second period, however, was something of a procession, as Jephcott completed his hat-trick and slightly fortuitous effort from Billy Craske made it 5-1 with still 40 minutes remaining. Argyle kept control of possession and completed their win with an own goal and a late strike from Callum Rose.
