Checkatrade Trophy - Format Survey

AS you may be aware, the format of the EFL Trophy was changed in 2016-17.

The competition, sponsored by Checkatrade.com, was initially to include 16 Category 1 Premier League Academy sides for the first time. The first knockout round would be replaced with a new group stage, the 16 regional groups each to comprise three League One/Two teams plus an Academy side, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the second, knockout, round.

Following the EFL’s announcement of these format changes, many of the invited clubs declined to allow their Academies to participate, and several of their places had to filled by the Academy sides of Championship clubs.

The EFL, in conjunction with its member clubs, is to review the impact of the changes and to consider the future format of the Checkatrade Trophy.

In order to help us in that discussion, and to assist in the overall decision-making process, we would like to have a clear idea of your views on the EFL Trophy.

Below is a survey, which we would be grateful if you could complete.
