#BritainsPromotionCity

ON Monday, May 8, Plymouth becomes Britain's Promotion City.

To celebrate the Pilgrims' elevation to Sky Bet League One, the players and staff at Argyle are coming to the people of Plymouth and its environs to celebrate with YOU.

First of all, a fleet of open-top buses will leave Home Park at approximately 6pm. You are welcome, if you wish, to see the boys off from the Theatre of Greens, and we encourage the Green Army to bring flags, scarves - anything green, white and decorative - to help us dress the buses for the journey. (Please note, though, we cannot guarantee the safe return of all items.)

Leaving at 6pm, the buses will leave Home Park, travel down Alma Road, and turn right into Western Approach. When reaching Union Street, the buses will turn left, travel past Derry's Cross and up and down the length of Royal Parade, before turning back and pulling up at the Council House at approximately 6.20pm.

Players and staff will be received by City dignitaries before being introduced to the Green Army from the Council House balcony.

Later that evening, the promotion celebrations will shift to the Plymouth Pavilions, where players, staff and supporters will raise a few more toasts to Derek Adams and his promotion-winning Pilgrims, before they head off for a very well-earned summer break.

When they return, it will be as League One players, and we can start all over again.

For now, though, we shall enjoy the moment, as for the first time in 13 years, Plymouth once again becomes Britain's Promotion City.

We would love to see your celebrations of our day of events. Please send pics and videos to @Only1Argyle on Twitter, or by email at argyle@pafc.co.uk. Please use the hashtag #BritainsPromotionCity
