Argyle 1 Parkway 3

FORMER Argyle youngster Jordan Trott scored twice as a young Pilgrims side were beaten in a Carlsberg South Western League Premier Division fixture on Friday night.

In front of a season's best crowd of 379 at Coach Road, Parkway took a sixth-minute lead when Nick Milton opened the scoring.

Eleven minutes later, Trott made it 2-0 to the visitors, who then had a great opportunity to go further ahead when they were awarded a penalty. However, Argyle goalkeeper Max Childs read Parkway skipper Glynn Hobbs' intentions and stayed tall to pouch the kick down the centre of the goal.

Argyle reduced the arrears in the opening minute of the second half through Rio Garside's deflected strike and the game remained in the balance until the final minutes.

Parkway had the final word when Aaron Taylor conceded a free-kick from which Trott fired home to clinch victory from a high-tempo, hard fought game.

Argyle: Max Childs; Harry Hodges, Ryan Law, Aaron Taylor, Callum Rose, Jordan Bentley (capt), Luke Jephcott, Adam Randell, Alex Battle, Cameron Sangster, Rio Garside.
