South West Peninsula League Defeat For Pilgrims

FRIDAY night’s Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Premier Division game against Ivybridge at Coach Road ended in a disappointing 2-1 loss for the Pilgrims.

Just over half an hour into the match, Ivybridge’s Joe Truelove scored the first goal of the game but Argyle’s Alex Battle claimed an equaliser within a minute.

Unfortunately for the Pilgrims, Ivybridge upped the scoreline to 2-1 with a goal from Reece Shanley within the first 10 minutes of the second half.

Argyle played their best in the first half of the match. Coach Kevin Nancekivell said: “I was very pleased with the first 30 minutes of the game but I was disappointed with how we played in the second half.”
