Match report for Falmouth Town (a)

A PENALTY from in-form Alex Battle was enough to secure Argyle a battling victory at a strong Falmouth side in the Peninsula League.

Both goalkeepers had good games, with Argyle custodian Max Childs showing his growing maturity with a string of fine saves, most notably in throwing his body in front of a late Falmouth scramble for an equaliser.

The winner arrived much earlier, when a handball on 37 minutes gave Battle the chance to fire home an emphatic finish. The Pilgrims welcome fellow high-flyers Saltash United to Coach Road on Tuesday night.
