Intermediary Fees

THE EFL have released details of the monies paid by all clubs to agents in the period between February 1, 2017 and January 31 2018.

Argyle paid the total sum of £52,032 which was up from last seasons £36,349. This year’s total sum paid meant we spent the seventh lowest in the division on agency fees with eleven teams spending over £100,000, including teams such as Oxford, Portsmouth, Southend, Charlton and Scunthorpe. Blackburn topped the list with £764,024,Wigan also spent over half a million with there agent’s fees costing £557,333. 

Aston Villa top the EFL with £5,510,180 spent on agency fees with is £1million more than the whole of League One and Two combined. Sunderland are the second highest spenders in the Football League with £4,370,897.  Coventry City are the highest in League two having spent £113,620.
