ARGYLE'S Checkatrade Trophy campaign kicks off with a home fixture against Swindon Town, where they will renew acquaintances with former players Toumani Diagouraga and Luke McCormick on October 9.
The game is the first of three group stage fixtures, all to be played on Tuesdays. Both the Swindon game, and our match at home, three weeks later, with Chelsea's representiatives in the competition, will kick off at 7.30pm.
Last season we played Chelsea, when an Alex Fletcher double in the space of two minutes rescued a draw at the death. Chelsea eventually lost out in the semi-final stage against the overall winners Lincoln City.
We head to Newport County on November 13, for a game at Rodney Parade that will kick-offat 7.45pm.
Last season the Exiles were beaten in all three of their group games against Forest Green Rovers, Cheltenham Town and Swansea City.
The top two teams in the group will head to the knockout phase of the competition.
