Marking Time

ON Saturday, Argyle marked the signing of the agreement to begin work on the Home Park grandstand development by burying a time capsule containing memorabilia commemorative of the current Argyle era.

At half-time of our Sky Bet League One fixture against Southend United, our chairman James Brent, as well as 12-year-old Argyle supporter Lucy Bouch, presented our youth-team captain, Tom Purrington, with the time capsule, which he then buried in a hole made especially within the Mayflower terrace. The time capsule, positioned in the foundations of the new grandstand, will then be covered by the new build which has been agreed.

The presentation and burying of the time capsule was received well by supporters, and now only awaits a passage of time and a new generation of the Green Army to unearth it in the future.
