Yeovil Under-18s 3 Argyle 1

ARGYLE’S Under-18 side fell to defeat as Yeovil Town cruised to victory.

Only several fine saves from Harry Townsend restricted the Glovers a 45th minute goal in a first half they dominated.

Having said that, the young Greens did have the two best chances of the half with Mani Skett hitting the crossbar and 15-year-old debutant  Angel Waruih firing the rebound wide.

Klaidi Lolos then fired in a drive that saw a frantic scramble ensue but chances to score were all blocked by the desperate Yeovil defence.

Argyle improved slightly after the break and were level on 72 minutes as Waruih and Aaron Goulty combined for substitute Rubin Wilson to head home via the underside of the crossbar.

But that was a good as it got for Argyle as defensive lapses saw Yeovil score two late goals to earn all three points.

Argyle: Harry Townsend, Michael Peck, Brandon Pursall, Jude Boyd, Ollie Tomlinson, Rio Garside, Joe Seery, Aaron Goulty, Klaidi Lolos (Rubin Wilson 70), Mani Skett (Jimmy Miller 75), Owen Price (Angel Waruiuh 30). Substitute not used: Max Childs.
