Ladies Sent Out by Coventry

ARGYLE Ladies are out of the League Cup after losing 3-0 at home to Coventry United in the quarter-finals.

While it was a frustrating day for the Pilgrims, credit must go to Coventry for their superior finishing at key times in the game and, despite the customary wholehearted effort from Argyle, there was no argument with the final result.

The visitors edged in front with a header from Nikki Miles and turned the screw after the break, thanks to a super goal from Amber Hughes and Miles defying the windy conditions to add her second of the game.

Coventry move on to a clash with Blackburn Rovers in the semi-final and we wish them the best of luck. Argyle, meanwhile, return to the league with the visit of Cheltenham Town on Sunday.
