No Spain, No Gain

THEY might be at a traditional Spanish holiday resort, but life is not a beach this week for the Argyle squad.

During Derek Adams and his squad's stay in Marbella this week there will be little sign of paddling in the sea, sipping a pina colada with a straw and a parasol. It is far more likely to be shuttle runs and sports drinks with added electrolytes.

The gaffer and the boys are at the Marbella Football Center in the Costa Del Sol, working hard to reinforcement the fitness, ability and togetherness that has seen them become one of the form teams in Sky Bet League One - and the whole country!

After touching down on Monday morning, everyone soon headed to the superb training facilities to be put through the paces.

The Pilgrims will return following training on Thursday, preparing for the visit of Bradford City at Home Park on Saturday.

The Bantams, one position below Argyle, come to town with seemingly everyone in Devon and Cornwall clucking over Argyle's current form. Five straight wins, seven wins in the last eight at Home Park - all is set for a stunning afternoon's football, with the game expected to attract a sixth attendance in the last seven games at the Theatre of Greens to top five figures.

Last year, Derek and the team returned from Marbella to win a Devon Derby against Exeter in stunning fashion. A win this weekend could lift the Pilgrims into the League One play-off spots.

Y Viva Argyle!

Tickets for the game are available from the Argyle Ticket Office at Home Park; by phone on 01752 907700; on www.eticketing.co.uk/pafc. Tickets are cheaper if you buy before the day.
