Central League Centre Stage

ARGYLE resume their Central League fixtures on Tuesday with a game against Swindon Town at Home Park, kick-off 1pm.

The Greens last played a Central League match back in November, when they lost a nine-goal thriller 5-4 to AFC Bournemouth.

Argyle have played four matches this season in the competition, winning two and losing two. The four games have yielded a total of 21 goals including two 5-4s, against Milton Keynes and Bournemouth. The Greens’ top scorer is Ruben Lameiras, who has notched four goals in four matches, closely followed by Alex Fletcher, with three in four matches.

The Pilgrims sit third in the Southwest section of the League, behind Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham, who have picked up ten points from their five matches this season. Tuesday’s game will be a good opportunity for Argyle manager Derek Adams to give some of his squad players some valuable minutes.

Swindon currently sit one place below Argyle in fourth, having won one, drawn one and lost two of their four matches, scoring eight goals and conceding 14 in the process.

The Mayflower grandstand is open for the game and entry is available through the top turnstiles. A catering kiosk will be open during the match.

Admission prices: adult £4; over 65 £2; under 18 £1.
