Central League at Exeter

THE Pilgrims travel to Exeter City today for the third instalment in our Central League campaign and the chance to restart positive momentum after a disappointing weekend loss at Luton in Sky Bet League One.

Argyle have already recorded wins over Cheltenham and Bristol Rovers in the Central League, and first-team coach Kevin Nancekivell is relishing the chance to bounce back with a strong performance against the Grecians.

“We’re looking to continue our good form in this competition and up against our local rivals, which always adds a little spice to the game,” said Nance. “We will have a good mix of experienced professionals, young development boys and apprentices.

“It’s the beauty of football that you can bounce back very quickly because there is always another game around the corner. We’ll look to put the weekend behind us now, get back on the football pitch and win some points in the Central League.

“Prior to Saturday [at Luton], we’ve been in good form and we hope a good result today can take us into the weekend.”
