Rover and Rover Again

OUR first-team are not the only Pilgrims in action this Saturday – and not the only club side to travel to play Bristol Rovers.

Also, rarely so far this season, our South West Peninsula League side will kick off their Saturday home game after the start of the weekend’s Sky Bet League One match.

The Premier Division match against Helston at Coach Road starts at 3pm, an hour and a half after the first-team engage with Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.

Argyle will be looking to return to winning ways after suffering their first league defeat of the season in midweek, when they went down 2-1 at Tavistock.

Their mid-table Cornish visitors have had a wonderfully symmetric start to the campaign with a record of P5 W2 D1 L2 F9 A9.

The Argyle Academy Under-18s First are first in action on Saturday, facing their Bristol Rovers counterparts in an EFL Youth Alliance match being staged at Yate Town, kick-off 10.30am.

When the 18s are done, the Under-16s will also play Rovers at the same Yate Town venue, kick-off 1pm.

Under-18s: Jude Boyd, Reuben Collum, Finley Craske, Rio Garside, Aaron Goulty, Shaun Hillier (gk), Klaidi Lolos, Jimmy Miller, Michael Peck, Tom Purrington, Adam Randell, Owen Raven, Joe Seery, Ollie Tomlinson, Harry Townsend (gk).
