JOE Edwards will have a watching brief for the weekend visit of Morecambe in Sky Bet League Two as he serves a one-match suspension.
The versatile midfielder picked up his fifth booking of the season in the 1-0 defeat at Cambridge last weekend and manager Ryan Lowe has been watching training very closely to see which Pilgrim deserves to take his place tomorrow.
“He will miss it because of five yellow cards but that gives someone else an opportunity,” said Ryan. "I’ve watched training closely and looked at where we can score goals and hurt Morecambe.
“Whoever is training the best and wants that opportunity, putting their neck on the line for the manager to make me pick them, that’s what I look for.
“We’ve got plenty of players who can play in different roles and we’ll make sure we pick the right one.”
