ARGYLE have completed the acquisition of Higher Home Park.
The proposed procurement of the land behind the new Mayflower Grandstand that will not be occupied by the international ice-arena was announced in August 2018, when Simon Hallett succeeded James Brent as the Pilgrims’ majority shareholder.
Then, Simon invested an additional £3.25m in Argyle to cover the increased costs of the grandstand redevelopment; the purchase of Higher Home Park land on behalf of the club; and extra related expenses.
At the time, Argyle entered into a conditional contract with James Brent to buy the land adjacent to the stadium that is not required for the ice-rink.
That transaction has now been finalised.
