My Savona

NEW Pilgrim Callum McFadzean will not only look forward to the support of the Green Army, but also his new sponsors, Savona, who were on hand to greet Argyle’s latest signing on Monday morning.

Savona, based in Ilfracombe, North Devon, is an independent food service wholesaler with over 50 years of experience in providing food services. With a large customer base in Britain’s Ocean City, they felt the opportunity to expand their partnership with the Pilgrims was too good to pass up.

“We do a lot of business in the city of Plymouth and surrounding areas,” said Mark McMillan, Business Development Manager at Savona. “A lot of our customers, chefs and people are big Argyle fans, so it’s an obvious choice for us.”

Savona had already partnered with the club last season, with advertising hoardings located pitch-side at the Theatre of Greens, and sponsoring McFadzean seemed like the next step in terms of collaboration.

“We sponsored an advertising board last year, and this year we asked ‘what else can we do?’ We spoke about players and we were delighted to be able to sponsor Callum.”

In taking up McFadzean’s sponsorship, Savona can be assured of greater exposure, both on the pitch and off it. Included in the player sponsorship package, the Ilfracombe-based company will feature in Callum’s player profiles on both pafc.co.uk and our award-winning matchday programme, The Pilgrim, as well as a mention during McFadzean’s goal announcements, on both social media and from the PA system at Home Park.
