TICKET prices have been announced for our pre-season friendly date with newly-promoted National League side Torquay United on Tuesday, July 16.
Adults can enjoy a spot of summer football on the English Riviera for £10, while concessions, which includes those over 65, under 18, or valid NUS Card holders, can enter Plainmoor for just £5. Meanwhile, entry is free for those under seven, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
The Pilgrims have made the pre-season fixture with the Gulls a regular occurrence in recent times. Last season, Derek Adams' side won 1-0, courtesy of a Graham Carey strike. It was the Irishman's second strike in as many pre-season games against their Devon opposition, as he had opened the scoring in a 2-0 win at Plainmoor the previous campaign, in a game where Joel Grant netted the other goal.
The friendly in 2016 might have paved the way for Nathan Blissett to make his move to the Pilgrims. The target man netted a goal, and put in an impressive performance, in a 1-1 draw at Plainmoor. David Goodwillie, briefly Blissett's team-mate in the second-half of the 2016-17 season, scored the goal for Argyle.
