Argyle v Luton - the Line-Ups

MATT Macey returned in goal for Argyle in the Pilgrims' Sky Bet League One match with table-topping Luton Town at Home Park on Saturday.

On-loan Arsenal stopper Macey was called up for his first start of 2019 after Kyle Letheren was ruled out with a groin injury that saw him substituted seven days previously in a 2-0 defat at Sunderland.

Defender Joe Riley was also recalled in what manager Derek Adams called "a tactical change" in his pre-match interview with iFollow Argyle. Ash Smith-Brown made way.

The game ended a run of 11 successive starts for Welsh custodian Letheren, who took over from the then injured Macey for the 1-1 draw at Burton Albion on December 29 and retained his place following Macey's recovery.

Luton, captained by former Argyle Player of the Season Sonny Bradley, were unchanged as they sought their 23rd consecutive league game without defeat.
