Inspirational Environment

ONE of the possible pitfalls of playing in a fantastic atmosphere at one of the leading stadiums in Sky Bet League Two is the motivation it can give to visiting teams.

Argyle wing-back Joe Riley conceded that he found Home Park a great place to visit when coming here with Bury in the past but the big difference is that he now has the Green Army backing his every move.

Our magnificent supporters generated a very special occasion in the draw at Swindon Town last week and noise levels will be even higher when Carlisle United visit our patch on Saturday.

“I’ve been in that situation when I came here with Bury a few years ago and you know it’s one of the best grounds in the league,” said Joe.

“You do raise your game for it. You look forward to coming out here and playing in front of 10,000 fans because you don’t always get that in League Two.

“They [Green Army] have been terrific. They got a lot of praise for last week and rightly so, it was outstanding to make those numbers, especially at our level of football.

“It shows what a great group of fans they are. They’ve been great this season and I’m sure they will be again on Saturday.”
