George's Argyle Life

GEORGE Cooper may have been one of the last recruits for Ryan Lowe’s 2019-20 Pilgrims, but that did not stop him from acquiring two new sponsors in the first week of his Argyle career.

With his away shirt sponsorship coming from former soldier and lifelong supporter Matthew Elliott, his home shirt was snapped up at the same time by supporter-run website Argyle Life.

“All the writers at Argyle Life are delighted to have sponsored George Cooper, a fantastic player with the potential to play at a much higher level in the next few seasons,” said Nick Saunders Smith, editor of the website. “As with every new signing, we’re looking forward to seeing him score his first goal at Home Park and wheel away in celebration!

“Argyle life was formed in June 2015, during a period of transition for the club as Derek Adams took over from John Sheridan. Four years on and we find ourselves at a similar crossroads as the Ryan Lowe era is beginning.

“During this exciting time, with so much happening on and off the pitch, there's even more than usual to discuss. The team are adopting a new, progressive style of football for the first time since administration, the Grandstand is nearly ready for use, and there's a whole new squad to boot.”

Argyle Life produce editorial and analysis features, including an introduction to their very own sponsored player, George Cooper. They also publish weekly episodes of the Green & White podcast, which is available on all good podcast platforms, including iTunes and Spotify.
